Mr Harish Chavan, the former CEO of the Mahindra Group, has been replaced by Gaganjot Singh as the new CEO of Swaraj Tractors. With Mr. Gaganjot starting his career at the company, Swaraj enters a new era with this leadership shift. He brings with him a strong 13-year career at Group Michelin, during which he underwent multiple changes in positions and nations.

Mr. Gaganjot said on LinkedIn that he was thankful for his time at Michelin, which significantly impacted his career. He also talked eloquently about the welcome and support he received from the Swaraj team and his excitement about joining the Mahindra Group. He also commended the company's strong attitude and enthusiastic employees, both of which have contributed to Swaraj's ongoing success.

Gaganjot also thought about how happy he was to be back in Punjab, where he grew up. He is excited to guide Swaraj into its upcoming phase of expansion. Driving a tractor that was four and a half decades old was part of his first experience as CEO. “I consider 2024 to be a year in which I changed from one S curve to another.”

He added, “To begin with, this shift was not the first one of its kind. During my nearly 13 years at Group Michelin, I went through four such cross-continental and cross-metier changes. Michelin helped me realise my career aspiration. I am incredibly grateful to Michelin and its amazing employees, who have greatly influenced who I am now. I will always be inspired by the bravery, aspirations, and tenacity of the amazing people of AIM Region, where I spent the majority of my time. A huge thank you to the Michelin community. Michelin should always be Michelin. I keep cheering for AIM and the Group's success from a distance while carrying a bouquet of pleasant memories with me.”

Gaganjot Singh also added, “I began my experience with Mahindra Group after leaving Michelin's growth phase on the S curve. Since I started the adoption phase of this new S curve two months ago, the Group has actually adopted me. I have been fortunate to enjoy a lot of unforgettable experiences over the past three weeks, including a warm welcome, conversations with leaders from all around the Group in M101, learning time with leadership teams, and spending time with the enthusiastic Swaraji people.
