Mahindra Tractor Sold 21917 Tractors, Registered 1% Hike In August 2024

Mahindra tractor sales registered a 1% hike in August 2024, selling 21917 units.

As per a recent BSE report, Mahindra Tractor reported a sales gain of 1% by selling 21917 units in August 2024 against 21676 units in August 2023. 

The domestic Mahindra tractor sales also drop 1% by selling 20518 units in August 2024. The 20647 unit sales were recorded in August 2023. 

Mahindra tractor exports were reported a 36% rise this month. The company exported 1399 units in August 2024 compared to 1029 units in August 2023. 

Hemant Sikka, President of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s Farm Equipment Sector, offered his thoughts on the performance, saying, “We have sold 20518 tractors in the domestic market during August. The cumulative monsoon rainfall is normal to above normal in Southern, central, western, and most northern states, while it has been deficient in a few eastern and northeastern states. Reservoir levels have improved substantially and Kharif sowing for paddy, pulses, oil seeds, and sugarcane has progressed very well and higher than last year. The upcoming festive season, above normal monsoon, bumper Kharif harvest, and favorable terms of trade for farmers are likely to drive growth of the tractor industry going forward. In the exports market, we have sold 1399 tractors, a growth of 36% over last year.”

Mahindra Year-to-Date Sales Report 2024 [April - August (5M)]

In the domestic market, the company sold 163035 units and recorded a 5% gain from April to August 2024 duration. Additionally, on the export side, the company also recorded a rise of 46% by selling 7558 units. 

The total year-to-date Mahindra Tractor sales were 170593 units as against 161860 units. This shows a 5% hike in April to August 2024 sales.
